Voluntary Water Use Restrictions

Dear Residents,

The West Harris County Regional Water Authority (WHCRWA) has requested that all Municipal Utility Districts within its boundaries voluntarily reduce their water usage.

In the event of Mild Drought Conditions, we’re asking residents and other users to voluntarily reduce outdoor water usage as follows:

  • Sundays and Thursdays for even numbered addresses
  • Saturdays and Wednesdays for odd numbered addresses

To help reduce the strain on our water system, please limit your outdoor usage to between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

While we have had small bouts of rain over the past few days, the overall drought continues to strain our water system and those other systems which help supply us. We ask that you help reduce this stress on our community’s water system by remaining mindful, especially during peak consumption periods (4 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.). Please ensure that your irrigation systems are leak free.

If you see a water leak anywhere in our subdivision please report it immediately by calling (832) 398-8211 or by writing in to MUDCustomerService@Inframark.com.

Unofficial Election Night Results

Richard Cannon was re-elected, and Douglas Miksch was not. Mr. Miksch’s spot on the Board will be filled by Larry Connelly.

Note: These are unofficial results. The official results will be approved at a special Board meeting set to occur next Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at 16500 Houston National Blvd, Houston, TX 77095.

Collection and Disposal of Recyclable Material

Dear Residents of Remington MUD 1 – please read the following message from Best Trash:

We hope you and your families had a good Thanksgiving.

Best Trash has received several inquiries regarding the collection and disposal of recyclable material. Please note that Best Trash will always have a three person recycle crew. The recycle crew consists of a driver and two people in the back to collect the contents of the recycle cart from the curb. The recyclable material is dumped into a rear-load truck that looks exactly like the trash truck.

The recycle crew is dedicated to collecting only recyclable material so that when the recycle truck arrives at the recycling facility, it can be separated for processing.
